Smartly Grown Sprouts on Children's Plates

Tsirgu school installed a smart greenhouse in its canteen to help children learn green technologies and environmentally friendly food production.

This week, a smart greenhouse was installed in Tsirgu School's canteen, helping children learn about green technologies and bringing fresh food to our tables in the most environmentally friendly way.

Climate change and environmental pollution are important problems in today's world. Raising environmental awareness at a young age contributes to a sustainable future. Through the project, children gain practical knowledge and skills that help them understand the nature of environmental problems and ways to solve them.

Urban Farm OÜ installed the smart greenhouse in our canteen. Training was provided to kindergarten teachers, during which they received instructions and tips on how the greenhouse works and what activities can be done with children. Ready-grown seedlings were also brought, which we can taste.

We develop children's interest in nature and environmental care through practical activities. The smart greenhouse helps children become familiar with nature and plant growing processes as active participants.

Soon children will have their hands in the soil and there will be even more greenery on our plates. The installation of the smart greenhouse is part of the project "Installation of modern greenhouses in Tsirgu kindergarten", which is funded by the Environmental Investment Center and Valga Municipal Government.
